I know I made a post similar to this a few days back, but I was wondering about which name you PREFERRED.

Beatrix
Beatrice

Personally, I am undecided.

Beatrix is beautiful because it is less common, and we all know Beatrix Potter. I don't like it though because it could be shortened to 'Trixie'.

Beatrice is lovely, but slightly more common, and to me has a more old-dumpy-lady feel to it.

May I ask, Why Beatrix?

It sounds younger and hipper than Beatrice, which makes me think of Aunt Bea from The Andy Griffith Show. I love that show and I love the character, but she's old old old to me, and so is the name.


I don't love the nn Trixie, but I don't hate it. :)

Yeah, that's why I dislike Beatrice.
I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE it, but now I'm not so sure.
