Yes.. I'm pretty much stuck on Cheyenne.
I still can't find any middle names for it though.
Any ideas would be awesome thanks.

A girl I know wants to name her son Maximillion
What do you think?
Personally .. I don't like it.. at all.
Maximus in my opinion would be a cuter Max name.

Do you mean MaximilliAn? I think it's fine. Maximus sounds way pretentious, but also reminds me of gluteus maximus (the medical term for ass).

As for Cheyenne, add me to the list of people who think it's tacky and disrespectful. So, no middle name suggestions here.

i can't help with cheyenne because i'm aboslutely offended by the the thought of using that as a baby name. sorry. i think a short middle name might work best though since cheyenne is a very strong first name.

why not just max? it's like jack. cute as a nickname but also works as a full first name. with a longer middle name, i think it's awesome. i think maximus is too over the top for a first name. maximillian is okay but it also just sounds way too comical to be taken seriously. maxwell, maybe? i don't know.

Haha Cheyenne Kimball is the only name that comes to mind because of the singer person.. hahah I googled her 'cause I was curious what her middle name is. SHe is Cheyenne Nichole Kimball..

Cheyenne i loved when i was 13/14 but then i realized where i lived etc my child would be ridiculed beyond beleif for it - then it reminds me of the french for dog - chien - i know it's pronounced different etc but it just does.

Maximillion isn't so bad if no one ever got to see the birth certificate and she reffered to him as Max lmao.

I think Cheyenne is pretty and original. I agree with past comments that it could attract ridicule, but kids can turn all names into horrible things.

I have a 2nd cousin who named her baby this... she's pretty much the definition of white trash (not to mention she's 20some and the father of the baby is a married 50some year old man... but that's another story, hah.). All and all, she is a cute kid, the name isn't my style, but it's your baby so I'm happy to help :)! Congrats!

... my little sister is "Shana Rene" (SHAY-na.... should be spelt "Shayna", but my mom is about simplicity in spellings). It has very similar sounds to "Cheyenne"

Usually because Christian is a name used by Christians. It's very rare that Cheyenne is used by native americans, thus making them look ignorant. It's one thing to use the name if it's from your culture/religion... this is an entirely different story.

I love Cheyenne. People name their kids Dallas, Paris, Austin, etc. and aren't from there. People give their kids celtic, polish, etc. names when they're not of that background. So really what's the difference?

I think I am lost somewhere! I don't see how using the name Cheyenne could be offensive as I'm in Australia, and we have no connotations to it here, what so ever of it being offensive in any way. I am considering it as a middle name for my girl, regardless of what anyone thinks about it. If they have a problem, well mate, they're gonna have to get over it! It's not like you are calling your daughter "Vagina" or "Anus"! Where those words are pretty much universal!.. Some people have alot of time on their hands don't they?..... Don't like it???... The reason I don't like Cheyenne is because I've never met someone with that name who wasn't white trash. So when I see a Cheyenne, I automatically think "White trash."

And also because it's a place name. And babies aren't locations on maps.

I like Maxwell as a Max name, but I'd never in a million years actually call the kid Maxwell.

I think it's too short, so affectionatly call him a number of names.
Maxwell seemed to stick until this summer when Max donned a roman gladiators pose and became Maixmus the Great!

Maxim is another full name I've seen used for the nn Max.
