Zoe Jacklynn update
The baby is now three weeks old and they've changed their mind about the spelling of the middle name (which most of you didn't like). The new spelling is Jaqualin.
Zoe Jaqualin Stowe
better, worse, or just screwy in a different way?
my initial thought is that the new way is going to be harder for her to learn to spell, but it does look more feminine.

and jaqualin looks like jah-qwah-lin
and jacquelin is the only way i'd spell it.
but for me, it was the first name rhyming (almost) with the last name that was awful. i didn't have too much ofa problem with her middle name. :P

What do they have against Jacqueline?

The street I grew up on was Jacqueline.. so I have a hard time accepting it any other way. Jaclyn is not bad though.
Jacklynn was 'different' and a bit of an annoying spelling. Jaqualin looks more like 'Ja-kwa-lin' instead of 'Jac-uh-lin' or 'Jac-lin' and is just bad IMO.

I dislike Jaclyn too.

It's JACQUELINE. What is wrong with the proper spelling??

my name is Madelynne and there are easily a dozen ways to spell that name. i don't really see it as an issue of there being a "proper" spelling. my way is just proper for me. :)

But actually, I think there _is_ something wrong with the alternative "Jaqualin." It's random and odd-looking and confusing. I really think that in this case Jacqueline looks the most beautiful and will be the smallest PITA in terms of spelling and pronunciation.
But to each their own. Zoe's awesome :)

Not only that, but Jaqualin looks like Juh-quall-inn.. which I think was already stated.
I liked the first one better. =/

and perhaps because the mother is ukrainian, this spelling makes more sense to her side of the family. *shrug*

I agree with an above poster that if the a were an e I would pronounce it correctly.
And she is adorable!
I really adore Jacqueline, and I think Zoe Jacqueline is great. One would think, if they can't figure out Jacqueline, then Zoe isn't going over super well either...
