Jul. 6th, 2006 03:46 pm1. What is your preferred spelling of /Lee/? I always think of Leigh for a girl and Lee for a boy. But I'm sure you could write Li, Lei, Lea, or other possibilities. What seems "normal" to you?
2. How do you feel about nicknames? My husband is a "my name is Daniel, NOT Dan, thankyouverymuch" kind of person. He believes you should name the child what you plan on calling it (if you want to call your kid Tim, name him Tim and not Timothy). I'm on the other side. I wish my name (Sarah) had an obvious nickname, because I think nicknames are friendly and/or intimate. Where do you stand?

Date: 2006-07-07 12:30 am (UTC)2. I love nicknames. Like you, I think nicknames are friendly, intimate and endearing. Like you, lol, my name is Sarah. I wish it had an obvious nickname, too. My last name (Carnes) has morphed into "Carnzie" over the years, and a few people (including my best friend) call me that. My aunt says Sari (sare-ee) sometimes. But yeah, I'm totalllllly with you on this question.
3. For some reason it's been REALLY active this week. Something's just gotten into us! LOL
