My Great Grandma Parthena (Gramma Valya) married Michel (pronounce Michele). They had three sons named Tanas (pronounced Tuh-nahsh), Yura (my grandpa) and Nikola (Colya).

*Edit* Parthena is Greek, Michel is Russian, and they raised their children in Turkey, so the names may have Turkish influence. Nikola is definitely Russian.

What are the ethnic backgrounds of some of the names in your families?

Grandma is Rayma Jean (goes by Jean)
Grandpa was Edwin Leon (went by Bill for whatever reason)
Then, my mom, Kathi Jo, uncle Billy Gene (literally Billy is his legal name=\) and Deborah Louise though my grandma swears it was supposed to be Deborah Lynn and the nurse filled out the paperwork wrong.

My dad has a couple of more interesting ones that I dont know much about. There were lots of Samuels and Augustus' including an Amase Augustus. Greatgrandpa was Pinkney L. (the L didnt stand for anything)

and Darryl Bryon and Kathi Jo produced Ashli Jo (me-- note the continuation of the "i" and the Jo) and Adam Bryon
