Aug. 21st, 2008 11:42 amI still have a long time to pick, but I want some opinions.
I like the name Addison for a girl, do you think it's too fruity for a boys name? My fiance says it's "gay" sounding.
What are some good shortforms for Addison?
Also, Which spelling do you like for Zach? Zack, Zak? I always liked Zak but after being here I'm starting to think it's trying to sound cool, hah.
My fiances last name is Storozuk.
Zak Storozuk? It looks and sounds weird, right?
EDIT-
NO It will not be just Zach/Zack, those would be the nn's.
Most people get called the shortened form more often than their full name.
Am I over analyzing?
Thanks!

Popular doesn't necessarily mean bad. A lot popular names are still nice names, but make sure that they aren't trendy (ie, they have been popular for a long time - 20+ years and aren't dying out anytime soon) and they are (a) spelled correctly and (b) on the correct gender. Then you'll be okay, even if it is popular.
Zachary nn Zach/Zack is okay; Zach by itself is not. Addison is probably too trendy, but Adeline or Adah might be a nice alternative that doesn't sound so gender ambiguous and isn't as trendy, but still sounds similar and could have Addie or another similar nickname.
