I think most of your names are too sing-songy/matchy-matchy. And I think that Ava will probably constantly be pronounced AY-va.

I really don't like Jaidyn/Jaden. The spelling of the first is too creee8tive and I consider it a male-sounding name in the Aiden/Braden/etc. trend.

Sorry :(

Delilah Jayne has always been a favorite for me. I get to give props to my favorite TV show and to my favorite Rodeo rider! WOOT! go EVAN JAYNE! =P

I think Delilah Louella has way too much L's. It almost makes it hard to pronounce.
I'm not a fan of Jaidyn/Jaden either (plus, it's extremely, ridiculously popular).
I like Ava Delilah though. Delilah is a very pretty name! (just not really my style =)).
Some other suggestions:

Scarlett Delilah
Delilah Esme (Es-MAY)
Delilah Felice
Carmen Delilah
Sophie Delilah
Joni Delilah
Olive Delilah
Paige Delilah / Paige Delilah
Delilah Claire / Claire Delilah

If you're going to call her Delilah, make her first name Delilah.

And Jaidyn?? That just hurts my brain.

That's a very southern thing, calling your kids by their middle name. Maybe it's a German thing too?

Yeah, lots of my family members have done that. My aunt is technically Marion Anne, but they've always called her Anne. I was always of the mind that if you name your kid Sally, you call her that. You don't name her Sally Jo and call her Jo, but I understand where you're coming from. I love Mae and Victoria, but Mae Victoria doesn't sound as nice as Victoria Mae, so I have thought of doing it.

Hmm. Is it? Didn't know.

I named my son something that I didn't think flowed, the vice versa of his name sounded better to my ears... prior to him being born. Now that he's here I couldn't imagine having his name any other way.

His name is Alexander Phillip. I wanted Phillip Alexander. :) But my boyfriend said no. :(

Gosh, sorry. You just wrote that elsewhere in the post and I didn't connect it as you.

Funny as the names are quite similar. Usually we take a dislike to names that are very much different or sound quite dissonant to us. He just didn't like the rhythm?

He didn't like the fact that we would be calling him a nickname of his middle name. We call our son Xander. And people would be like, "How did you get "Xander" from Phillip??"

So, I reluctantly changed it around.

Got it. Makes sense, despite your preferences.

That makes sense... but it's different when they're born and how things flow. I always wanted a son named Phillip Alexander because I thought that sounded nice. but I would call him by his middle name (Xander for short). Now I have Alexander Phillip and to me, Phillip Alexander doesn't sound flow-y anymore.

I like the name Delilah though. Love it, actually.

Delilah Rae is cute :D But I love the middle name Rae.

Deliliah + One Syllable

Rae sounds nice. I think Delilah and other three syllable names sound best with a one syllable second name. This would be especially true if you have a multisyllabic German last name (don't know what it is, obviously, just saying it's important to consider the name as a whole as well as your given names).

Like "Gade/Gayd"? That seems easy enough and certainly makes a nice match for Delilah.

I admire you for searching for options and examining all the possibilities for a name you love.

Maybe it's too obvious, but if it's really that much of a problem, do you need a middle name?

A lot of people go by middle names day-to-day. Like F. Scott Fitzgerald.

I like the middle name Shay/Shae. It means "gift". Delilah Shay sounds nice.

if you're going to call her delilah, then her first name should be delilah. it'll just make it easier for ickle delilah to register for school. combos that come to mind are delilah joy and delilah christine.

I love Delilah too. I was considering Delilah Grace or Delilah Rose.

I would not recommend naming your daughter name which is pronounced differently than you wish it to be pronounced. Ava is Ay-va to most people and most will probably call her that.
And if you love the name Delilah so much why are you only using it for a middle name? Why not use it as a first and then try to pair it with a nice middle name? You got one with Delilah Louella, which...isn't bad...

if I´d live in uk/usa then yes but I live in germany so most people would say ah-fah
:)

Well, then, nvm, problem solved!

But I still think you should stick with Delilah as a first name, as you like it so much and it is a very lovely name. Suggestions: Since delilah ends in an A, avoid middle names that begin with vowels, end in A, or that rhyme, though I can't think of too many names that rhyme with Delilah...

I will try to think of some middle names for you and get back to you, but I am really pushing for you to use it as a first name!!!

A lot of J names might be nice, someone suggested Joy, there's also Jane, June, Justine, Jacqueline, Juliet, Jillian, Jade, etc...

I was just considering Delilah the other day (while listening to Hey there Delilah in the car with my bf), and I was thinking if/how it would work as a middle name for Alma (our established name for a future daughter).

Alma Delilah ? :)
for us in italy it could be tricky because here it would get mistakenly read as 'DEH-lee-lah', the italian equivalent is Dalila (DAH-lee-lah), but I don't like it.

I really like Luella too! but I think it could the too sing-song-y with Delilah.

some other suggestions:
Azra Delilah
Amber Delilah
Rebecca Delilah
Ruby Delilah
Miriam Delilah
Juliet Delilah
Arlen Delilah

(I like using the middle name for the first)

It's going to be hell on earth for poor Ah-fah to get her name pronounced correctly.

Nevermind! Just read that it's normal pronunciation in your area!

I love the name Ava pronounced AY-va, but I don't like the AH-fah pronounciation.

Delilah Louella seems too much like lalalalala, the way the sounds are all the same.

And I don't really care for Jaden spelled any way, but if I were picking one of your four choices, I would say Jaden Delilah is the best.
