First of all I miss spelled it, it's Tenley, she is a one of my preschool kids.  She is named after a family friend Tenley Emma Albright, an American figure skater who contracted polio at age 11, but won the U.S. figure skating championship in 1952 and the silver medal in the 1952 Olympics. In 1956, she became the first American woman to win the Olympic gold medal in figure skating.  In 1976, Albright was appointed to a seat on the U.S. Olympic Committee, the first woman to hold that position.
This is a picture of her.

See! Not a made up name!

Yeah. Well, I wanted to name my son after my grandfather, and I was pretty sure I was always going to use it as his middle name. And when I met my boyfriend and found out his little sister had died, and he mentioned her name being Remi and all this stuff to go along with it, I just kinda fell in love with the name.

I mean, traditionally it's a boys name, and spelled Remy. But.. His sister was (obviously) a girl, and their Mom spelled it Remi. So. Remi it is.

I'm surprised I didn't get more grief for 'Sirius Arthur' than I did, because of HP. And didn't even realize Arthur was the Weasley Dad's name until someone pointed that out, which is okay. My son isn't named for HP, or any of the characters in it, lol.
