3. Elliott.
4. I prefer Hailey, personally. Haley looks too much like HAL-ee to me, and Hayley.. just.. eh. I don't favor y. But I guess Haley over Hayley.
5. Depends. Male or female? Jody for a boy, Jodie for a girl.
6. Kristen.
7. Leslie (my cousin's name)
8. Stephanie.

Date: 2008-02-20 01:36 pm (UTC)Catherine or Katherine? Why just those spellings? Sorry. I'm a Kathryn, I can't pick either of those :D (OK I can. I prefer the K one)
Elliot or Elliott? (m) Elliot - Elliott ust looks wrong to me.
Haley or Hayley? Hayley, again to me Haley is either a boys name or looks like you can't spell (not saying it's not valid, just looks wrong to me)
Jodi, Jodie, or Jody? Jodie, although Jody is a boys name.
Kristen or Kristin? Kristen
Lesley or Leslie? (f) Well if you're looking for a girl's name then Lesley, since Leslie is a boys name.
Stefanie or Stephanie? Stephanie. Stefanie just looks like you're looking for an 'exotic' spelling (unless you're from a country like Germany where it's a perfectly valid spelling and Stephanie would be the 'exotic' one. I'm talking about for an English speaking country)

Date: 2008-02-20 03:21 pm (UTC)Catherine - the C looks sooooooooo much more sophisticated and graceful.
Elliot - the extra t looks unnecessary.
Haley - Again, I'm just not a fan of the ys.
Jodi or Jody - either one is acceptable. Jodie looks overdone.
Kristen - I know Kristins who I hate, but one of my best friends is Kristen.
Leslie - Lesley looks more masculine to me.
Stefanie - Again, personal reasons.

Date: 2008-02-20 05:05 pm (UTC)Catherine or Katherine? I'm torn. I like the spelling with a K better, but my grandmother's middle name is with a C, so if I was going to use that name to honor her, I'd use the C spelling
Elliot or Elliott? (m) Elliott.
Haley or Hayley? Haley
Jodi, Jodie, or Jody? Jodie
Kristen or Kristin? Kristin
Lesley or Leslie? (f) Leslie
Stefanie or Stephanie? Stephanie

Date: 2008-02-20 05:07 pm (UTC)I like the look of Katherine more, but I'd probably use Catherine.
Elliott looks more balanced to me.
I hate this name, but probably Hayley, because Haley makes me think of a hated book character.
Jodie, I guess, it's another name I don't like.
I prefer Kristen, I guess, but I like them equally.
Leslie, although I like Lesley too.
Stephanie, because "Stefanie" doesn't look right to me.

Date: 2008-02-20 06:56 pm (UTC)Katherine - Cause I prefer K's being a Kate myself! I also prefer Kathryn over any other spelling!
Elliot - Too many letters with t'other one!
Hayley - Haley looks like you missed a letter out!
Jodie - Don't know why. But I really hate the name
Kristen - Don't like the repeating 'i'.
Leslie
Stephanie - Not enough letters in the other one, and this is what i'm used to!
:D

Elliot or Elliott? (m) - Elliott
Haley or Hayley? - Definitely Hayley
Jodi, Jodie, or Jody? - I dislike this name, but Jodi is the best of them.
Kristen or Kristin? - I used to think Kristen was the only good way to spell it, but now I definitely prefer Kristin.
Lesley or Leslie? (f) - Definitely Leslie, but I don't like the name.
Stefanie or Stephanie? - Stefanie.

Date: 2008-02-21 12:32 am (UTC)2. Catherine, when only between those two. I actually prefer Katharine though, due to Katharine Hepburn.
3. Elliott, as in Smith :)
4. Hayley. Haley seems like it's missing a letter. I like Hailey best though.
5. Jodi. Don't know why.
6. Kristen. Kristin always makes me want to emphasis the TIN part.
7. Leslie. Something about Lesley looks awkward to me.
8. Stefanie. My middle name is spelled like that.

Date: 2008-02-21 06:59 pm (UTC)2. Catherine (K names are usually trendy-ized spellings, and I don't like that)
3. Either...I guess Elliot? They're about the same to me.
4. Either one, but I HATE Hailey - it looks horrendously disgusting. Yuck. I've never met a Haley/Hayley that spelled it Hailey, so Hailey seems totally fake to me too.
5. Jody
6. Kristen
7. Leslie
8. Stephanie

Jodi, Jodie, or Jody? Jodie. Dunno. Don't really like any of them.
Kristen or Kristin? Kristen. Looks more aesthetically pleasing.
Lesley or Leslie? (f) Lesley for a girl. Leslie for a boy.
Stefanie or Stephanie? Stephanie. Looks better.
