Which spellings do you prefer? And, if you can, why?

Allie or Ally? (as a nickname for any of the 5 girl names on my list that begin with Al)

Catherine or Katherine?

Elliot or Elliott? (m)

Haley or Hayley?

Jodi, Jodie, or Jody?

Kristen or Kristin?

Lesley or Leslie? (f)

Stefanie or Stephanie?

I like all of these, and I'm trying to decide which spellings I like better.

1. Allie. I think Ally looks incomplete, and Allie seems to be more fitting when used as a nickname for Allison.

2. Catherine, when only between those two. I actually prefer Katharine though, due to Katharine Hepburn.

3. Elliott, as in Smith :)

4. Hayley. Haley seems like it's missing a letter. I like Hailey best though.

5. Jodi. Don't know why.

6. Kristen. Kristin always makes me want to emphasis the TIN part.

7. Leslie. Something about Lesley looks awkward to me.

8. Stefanie. My middle name is spelled like that.
