My sister's work are a sort of kids soft play adventure place and they host parties. The tend to announce on FB the kids names and wish them a Happy Birthday. Today's selection was:

Madeleine, Zara, Shaunpaul and Bethany.

Quite a mix but what jumped out was Shaunpaul. All the one word. Names like Shaun Paul and John Paul are pretty popular where I'm from, but urgh do not want it all run together like that :/

I really like Madeleine and Bethany is okay, but its really popular around here too.

her Mom said she LOVES that it goes with their last name, but surprised she hasn't heard the name Stoelyn before.

I was watching a rerun of Cupcake Wars on Hulu last night. One of the contestants was named Anomaly. I thought I was hearing wrong, but then they put her name up on the screen. I was too flabbergasted to laugh. She looked like she was in her 40's.

Just got back home from a baby shower and there were several children there. My roommate and I were excited to go because a classmate would be there who we "keep contact with" through Facebook and we haven't been able to figure out how to pronounce her son's name.

The baby in question is named Bryiss. We'd been thinking that it was a snowflake spelling of Bryce. Nothing could have prepared me to meet "Bry-iss".

The new baby is going to be a boy and Mom, Holly, announced his name: Ryler Corey. Corey is after his father. Ryler *might* be named after dad's best friend who's name is Tyler but who knows.

In sort of related news a girl I know from high school just had her second child. Amber, Bill and big sister Mackenzie "Mack" or "Kennie" welcome new baby brother Caius.
