Have you guys played the ABC game yet? It's where you post your favourite name for each letter. I find it quite fun, and I'm curious about the favourite names of other people. I did it over the summer but here's an update of mine. )

Hey, I'm new to this community and thought I would post my list of favorite names. It's not long because I'm kind of picky with the names I would actually name my possibly future children.

Girls:
Roxxane (This has been my #1 fav name for about 10 years, but I have finally realized that I can't name a child of mine that, because that would lead to the nickname Roxy and I don't like that, roxy is more of a dog name to me)
Helmy (This is my great grandmothers middle name, and I like it but I won't have it as a first name)
Rebecca/Rebecah (My mom was going to name me this but didn't, and now it's my little sisters middle name, but I like it for a first name)

Boys:
William (This I have had for as long as Roxxane, my little brother and grandfather both has this as on of thier middle name)
Liam

As you can see it's very short lists, and I also like names spelled differently, for example I named my cat Leiah, which is a combination of Leia (from star wars) and Leah (from twilight).

And I also noticed that most people here picks 2 names, one first and one middle name. In Sweden we often have 2 middle names, for example my family (first names bold)

Dad: Rolf Jörgen Patrick
Mom: Anna Maria Katarina
Me: Anna Cassandra Louise
Brother: Rolf William Sebastian
Sister: Ebba Amanda Rebecca

So as I have a very short list, do you have some suggestions that you might think I like?

Into Post!

Hi guys, I'm new to this community so I thought I'd say hi :)

I'm 21 and an Early Childhood Education major, as well as a Build-a-Bear worker, so I'm with kids about 5 out of 7 days of the week normally and I've come across some crazy names over the last two years, especially at work.

The names I've picked for my kids (hopefully I will have them someday) are:

Hannah Lily (I've loved Hannah since I was little and I recently picked Lily for a middle name)
Sophie Linden (Linden was my Nana's last name and I lost her when I was young. I recently decided I wanted to used Linden as a middle name)
Saoirse Varel (Varel is my best friend's middle name)

I've been thinking about boy names forever. I used to love Aiden Nicholas, but Aiden got really popular and I got sick of hearing it everywhere. I still want to do something with Nicholas (my best friend's name), but I'm not really sure yet.

Suggestions and feedback are welcome :)

I need to pick a name for a story I'm writing for a male and a female character but I'm having trouble deciding. Help? [Poll #1794763]

I was unfortunate enough to hate my birth name and got it changed twice, which was a pretty difficult process, but since then I've been interested in what other people might consider for themselves!

I'm not sure if this is a little out-of-topic, but I'm extremely curious to know: what would you rename yourself, if you absolutely had to, and why? both first and last names would be preferable--thinking up a new surname was pretty much the hardest part for me, haha

Like most people, I've picked the names that I want to use for my children. I have a set that I will definitely use as well as a set for when its needed(I have three boys or three girls or two boys, one girl and a third boy comes, etc). I'm even working on a set that would of Russian origin(always had a thing for Russians).

The names I picked have a first name and a middle name. The boys names tend to play off of each other. The first one is obvious and if you guess the rest, I'll be very impressed. Here's the first set:
1. Peter Gabriel_________
2. Violet Marilyn________
3. Alan Frederick_________
4. Felicity Lucille_______

Here's the second set:
1. Dean Michael_________
2. Molly Anne____________
3. Thaddeus Henry_________
4. Rhianna Jane___________

The sets I'm working on in Russian may be a bit harder than I thought. I have them starting with the first letter of the English sets(both first and middle)and I'm not quite finished with them.

I hope that I'll have children someday and I know I would make a great mom, however, the area I live in is very against those with disabilities being involved with someone romantically, getting married, and having children; and since I have a form of autism, its very difficult to find someone to be involved with on a romantic level. It'd be great if I could move to an area where that issue is not the case, however, I don't have a driver's license(only a learner's permit), I don't have a lot of money, and I have a conservator; which makes moving very difficult in the best of circumstances(and at the rate things are going, the only way I might be able to move is if I either win the lottery[which is almost impossible given the odds and the fact that I'm not big into gambling], marry a rich man(which makes me feel like I'd only be marrying him for his money so I'm extremely leary fo going this route)or if I get a mail-order groom from Russia or Eastern Europe{they make mail-order brides, so you'd think they'd make mail-order grooms}).
