I was watching "Make Room for Multiples" this morning, and this couple had 2 girls, and 1 boy. Their names were:

Harlow Grace
Giselle Madeleine
Dutch Caden

While I'm not a fan of the girls names, they are at least nice, but I can't get over the boy's name- DUTCH?! why?? I know Caden is horribly trendy but I'd definitely prefer Caden Dutch.

What do you all think?

I work at a college and I was looking up some info on an incoming student yesterday.  Someone with a similar last name popped up on my search, but it was the first name that definitely caught my attention:  Lesbia.

Lamebook...

So, I was reading a  post on Lamebook and featured in it was a photo of a young woman who had gotten her children's names tattooed onto her back...

There is a photo behind this cut.... )

I was thinking about this while watching a Jerrod Niemann video. I first heard the name watching The Big Valley (Jarrod Barkley). Then I started watching Gilmore girls (Jared Padalecki).

My question is, which do you prefer:

Jerrod/Jarrod/Jared or another spelling?

Hello all!  I'm 14w today, and we're going to wait and see if it's a girl of a boy on the day he or she comes out into the world.

BUT, that doesn't mean I'm not obsessing over names!  My husband is a little leery of alliteration, and my parents keep saying complicated names are too hard for kids to spell, but here's what I'm thinking - let me know what you think!

PS: Our last name is Acquaviva...he's 1/2 Irish and 1/2 Italian, hence the Iris first names and the Italian last name! I myself am Scottish :)

For a girl:
Amelia
Caitlin
Charlotte
Claire
Clara
Elizabeth
Emma
Isabelle
Madeline
Megan
Molly

For a boy:
Colin
Nathaniel
Aiden
Ethan
Kyle
Liam

So, any that you think sound awful?  Any that sound awesome?  Anything I didn't list that YOU would pair with that last name?
(PS : the last name is pronounced like Aquafina - some people try to say ACK-waviva which is just eeew!)

And the winner of the English names was Oliver! Oliver is Latin and means "From the olive tree". Oliver's current popularity ranking is 98 and according to The Baby Name Wizard Oliver goes well with the names Helena, Cecilia, Lucy, Sophie, Violet, Julius, Leo, Edgar, Felix, and Solomon.

The next list consists of names that end with the "en" sound and there are a lot of names! I probably should have broken it up, but I didn't want to prolong the agony. Enjoy!

This or That? )
