My friends/roommates just found out their pregnant (It's a couple with a one year old, LOL)

Their one year old's name is Eilonwy Sharia Morrey

The names they will use:

Evening (Eve) Jade Morrey for a girl
Isaac Adam Morrey for a boy.

Not sure about the spelling of Isaace, though. I need to ask.

Also, is there another name that Eve maybe a nickname for? Not Evelyn :) You see their picks, so it should give you an idea of what they like.

I have only heard the name Mateo last week for the first time. What do you guys think of it?

It's pronounced mah-TAY-oh for anyone who isn't sure.

How would you pronounce Auma?

My friends sister had a little girl, and her middle name is Auma. Apparently, it is a combination of the first two letters of her Grandmothers' names - Audrey and Marion. She was inspired by Milla Jovovich, her daughters middle name is Gabo (whch I think is the first two letters of her mum and dad's name.)

What do you think of it?
What would your kid's middle name be if you had to combine the first two letters of your loved ones names?

What do you think of the name Claudia?

I'm having a baby girl in November. My husband and I have decided to name her Marcy Ann.

Ann is a family name, it is the middle name of the oldest girl in every generation for several generations (It is my middle name, my mom's middle name, my grandma's middle name, and I think it may go back even farther than that).

We like Marcy because it is uncommon, but not so uncommon that it is weird. She probably won;t have to worry about having another Marcy in her class.

Her older brother's name is Adrian Maxwell.

What do you think?

New!

Hello! My name is Nicky and I'm new here. I'm going to be having my first baby in January, but I'm already deciding on names because it's something I've always had a vaugue idea about anyway.

If it's a girl, we know for a fact she'll be Azelea Lyn Pearl. We could call her Lea for short.

The name I'm having trouble with is the boy's. We had pretty much pick James Simeon Leon, with James being after the father, but we've realized lately that James is just way too common of a name. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that would fit with the middle names.

If you want reasons behind the names, just ask. I'm happy to share.

Jamie

My husband and I actually had a serious conversation about baby names! We might be sick of it by the time we actually start TTC in September.

Anyway, he says "what about Jamie?"

What do you think?

I'm not averse to it, but it sounds like a nickname, and I can't figure out for what. I don't care for Jamila, Jamaica, or Jamala, and I'm not naming a girl James or Jameson. If I used another Ja- name, could we call her Jamie? If so, what name would you use?

I'm pimping my list as always.

Was bored, so I decided to list all of my female facebook friends (I'd have done them all, but have close to five hundred friends, so I'm doing the girls first). I was born in '83/graduated in '01, so a lot of the names reflect that time period, but I also have some much older friends on my list, and some slightly younger. The majority though were born in the early-to-mid 80's. Sooo yeah, here's some names for ya... :)

wow, lots of 80's babies... )
