Hello! My name is Nicky and I'm new here. I'm going to be having my first baby in January, but I'm already deciding on names because it's something I've always had a vaugue idea about anyway.

If it's a girl, we know for a fact she'll be Azelea Lyn Pearl. We could call her Lea for short.

The name I'm having trouble with is the boy's. We had pretty much pick James Simeon Leon, with James being after the father, but we've realized lately that James is just way too common of a name. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that would fit with the middle names.

If you want reasons behind the names, just ask. I'm happy to share.

Lynn isn't my style, but I like both of the names you have here. My only criticism is for the spelling of your girl's name. I recommend spelling the names the traditional way, especially the first one as its an official word that can be found in the dictionary.

Azalea Lynn Pearl looks tons better than what you have here, and you gain class and lose the stigma that comes along with incorrectly spelt names.

It's nice enough. I like it.

If it's a family name I wouldn't change it. :)

Azalea Lyn(n) Pearl isn't too my particular tastes, but it's nice enough.

I like James. Simeon and Leon sound weird next to each other as they have the same ending.

I like the girl's name.
As for the boy's, the other option might be to change the name around - Leon & Simeon aren't common. Leon James Simeon might work, or Simeon James Leon (though I think I like Leon as the first name better) That way, you also don't get the similar names (Leon & Simeon) beside each other.

i like the girl's name well enough. however, even though i know simeon is an actual name, it makes me think of simian.

I was about to comment in horror that I wish you'd spell Azalea correctly, but now I see it's just a typo. Thank goodness!

Simeon and Leon together bug me because Simeon means monkey and Leon means lion so to me the name is "James Monkey Lion".

Aside from that, though... I like Azalea. The middle names aren't my style. I like James and don't see a problem with it being common. It's a good name.

er, I meant that Simeon sounds like "simian" which means "monkey".

i like azalea a lot, i think its very pretty, and love the personal meaning of the middle name.

i absolutely love the name james. its not one of those "common" names, its a classic. and next to all the kree8yv names babies are getting these days, james is going to stand out.

I've only known one James in my life. I ended up naming my baby boy who was born last month James :)
