My friends/roommates just found out their pregnant (It's a couple with a one year old, LOL)

Their one year old's name is Eilonwy Sharia Morrey

The names they will use:

Evening (Eve) Jade Morrey for a girl
Isaac Adam Morrey for a boy.

Not sure about the spelling of Isaace, though. I need to ask.

Also, is there another name that Eve maybe a nickname for? Not Evelyn :) You see their picks, so it should give you an idea of what they like.

I'm so excited that someone named their daughter Eilonwy! I don't think either of the names they have chosen go with their daughter's name at all. I also don't really like either name.

I really like Eve. Not too big on Evening though, it sounds so...dark. Then again, Vesper is a guilty pleasure name of mine, so I have no right to judge Evening ;)

I'd never heard/seen Eilonwy before and my first instinct was to read it as Ee-LOW-nwee, rhyming with Myfanwy, sort of. I like the pronunciation after you explained, although I don't understand how it can end with -way and it also sounds a bit like "a long way" lol.

The names they picked are quite classic, I'm just a tiny bit iffy about Evening. I do like word names, especially nature-themed, but "evening" is more like a social event in my mind.
I think it's creative in a positive way, though!

I love Eve and Isaac (if it is spelled correctly, that is!), but I really hate Jade, Sharia and Evening. Eilonwy is ok, although I had no idea how to pronounce it until you posted it.

The only other E names I could think of were Evangeline, Evie, and Evita. Congrats to your friends!

As far as word-names go, Evening is actually pretty good! I don't usually like word-names (I reserve those for dogs! LOL) but Evening is classy.
