A while back I gathered info about the names that will most likely be used for our future kids... now I'm doing middle names!!

Please indicate for each:
- sex as (m) or (f)
- family/honoring name (hn), inspiring person such as an author, political figure, musician, etc (ip), other reason - please identify, or no reason (nr)

1. What is your middle name?
2. Do you like your middle name?
3. What are your siblings middle names?
4. What are three names you are likely to use as middle names for your own children (please limit to three children of each sex)?
5. How many middle names do you intend to use?
6. Do you intend to call your child by their middle name or a nickname from their middle name?

So my answers would look like this...
1. Maree - f, hn
2. Yes
3. Kenneth - m, hn
Francis - m, hn
4. Maree - f, hn
Claire - f, nr
Elizabeth - f, nr
Daniel James - m, hn & m, hn
Kenneth - m, hn
Alexander, m, nr
5. Two middle names for first child of each sex, one name for following children
6. No

my boyfriend knows i'm obsessed with names, so he sent me this really interesting new york times article about the most popular baby names in new york city. give it a read: http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/10/22/popular-new-york-baby-names-2007/

i really loved the article (esp since i live in new york, myself), but i was a little iffy about it. i sent him back this response (which i'll put under the cut). i'm sure some of you will disagree with me though. what do you think? do you think the article is accurate? skewed? let me know!

I'm only 7 and a half weeks pregnant, so there's plenty of time to decide on names, but here's my list so far.

http://www.babynames.com/namelist/9662413

Please vote, and if you have any better suggestions or combinations, I'm all ears. Before I was pregnant I could come up with a million names that I like, but now I can't decide if I really like any names at all. Really annoying.

Also, I'm not really sure how to talk to the boyfriend about names. He's still trying to get over the fact that I'm pregnant, so maybe I should wait a little longer (even though I want to talk to him sooner than later because he said he wanted to name his son Auto Volt...Granted, Volt is a family name, but thank God he ended up being a junior). Does anyone have any advice on how to break the ice of talking names?

For the record, Van Scoyoc is pronounced Van Skoy (rhymes with boy).

Thanks!

My mom and I went to Wendy's for lunch and one of the employees was named Tuesdarachell. Just had to pass that gem along. I feel bad though, she was nice...

And I gotta say I'm so happy with all the Rays love from my last post. :D

My husband and I were having an argument  discussion about names. We're still trying to settle on a girl name but were having no luck.
So my question is, what is your first thought when you hear these names? What kind of child do you picture? what immediately pops into your mind when you hear these??

EDITED
Celeste (I had a typo earlier, I do spell it with an E on the end!)
Jeanine
Lauren
Cecillia (I realize this has an extra "L" but this is how his grandmother spells her name and he insists on it)
Carmen
Kourtney (he insists on it startign with K)  (I hate this name on all levels.)
Daisy
Alicia

Apparently in People Magazine, Sarah Palin said if she had another son she would name him Zamboni. That woman scares me more each day.

Ughhhhh. My fiancee's best friend's daughter is having her baby soon...
We just found out that she's having a boy, and when we asked her what the name would be she gave us two choices:

Alonzo Luis   or     Eduardo Alonzo.

Ughhhhh.

Caroline Rhea Welcomes Baby Girl
Oct. 23, 2008, 12:36 PM EST
Actress/comedienne Caroline Rhea has given birth to a baby girl, her first child with boyfriend Costaki Economopoulos, People magazine reports.

The former "Sabrina the Teen Witch" star and previous host of "The Biggest Loser" welcomed Ava Rhea Economopoulos into the world Monday in New York. The baby weighed 8 lb., 15 oz.

"We wanted the shortest first name possible, since her last name is the alphabet," the 44-year-old new mom told the magazine. "It was either that or Emmy, because I've always wanted an Emmy."

My best friend's brother (and his fiancee) are having a baby boy, and she told me that her new nephew is going to be named....Kyler Ryan.

She said, "Kyler, like Tyler but with a K." She didn't sound like she was too big of a fan of it. Honestly, I'm not either. I didn't have anything nice to say, so I just said, "Wow, that's...trendy."
