Clementine?

Hmm. So my husband and I are thinking about kids in the next year or two. We like Sebastian Pierce for a boy and Clementine (nn Cleo) for a girl. We can't agree on a middle name for Clementine though. Suggestions? Also, what else might Cleo be short for? I think he is really stuck on the Cleo part, more so than Clementine.

We've come up with:

Clementine Rose
Clementine Lacey (Lacey is a family name on my side)
Clementine Lucille
Clementine Mae

But we're not agreeing on any of the above.

Thanks for any suggestions/thoughts!

I know that some people don't like using family names.. I didn't use to care for it much myself, but it's grown on me. Problem is, I love my family's names, but don't care at all for my husband's family's names! ;)

So three names we like and I've mentioned before are Lily, Elizabeth, and Catherine (lol, these are our tamer names). My mn is Catherine and my mother's name is Catherine Elizabeth. Catherine and Elizabeth are also the names of my maternal great-grandmothers. My MIL's name is Susan, which I really do not care for, but Susan means Lily. My mom also used to call me her 'blackeyed susan' (type of flower, black/brown center, yellowish-orange petals). Anyway.. so I'm thinking of a combo of Lily and Elizabeth or Lily and Catherine. Could also be Lilian or Eliza. Combo ideas? WDYT? *edit* What do you guys think of Elizabeth Catherine or Lillian Catherine with 'Lily Cate' as a nn? Too much of a mouthful? Also, I came up with Edith Catrine (a play on my name, Meredith Catherine) during my first pregnancy, but noone liked Edith. Okay, so no Edith, but what do you guys think of Eliza Catrine?

Also, as I've said before, we're probably going to use my husband's middle name, Edward, as a mn for a son. My husband is a third and we want to carry on at least part of his name. We've liked Edward, but lately have been liking Ashley for a boy and we'd be able to carry on the same first initial that way. What do you guys think of  Ashley Edward?  *edit* for comparison-- our other name idea, which we've been fond of for awhile, is Jonah Edward. If we do use Ashley, we'd probably nn to Ash. Yes, I totally love this name because of the Evil Dead reference. ;)

Do you think it's weird when siblings share a first initial? I've never liked that my husband and his sister had the same first initial We might use Alice as well so that would give us multiple A- names as well. :( Hopefully we'll have more than two children, though. FWIW, my husband goes by Ted, not Albert.

And I had posted awhile ago about my aunt & uncle having a baby, and they had picked Sawyer for a boy and Sophie or Sophia for a girl. Well, apparently they're having a girl, but have decided to name HER Sawyer. Maybe it only strikes me as odd because I know they got the name from Lost, and so I associate it with that male character. WDYT? Can Sawyer go either way??

Article in my local(!) newspaper today:

Jayden comes in third as most popular boy's name.

This may not sound surprising...but I'm living in The Netherlands. I knew it was getting more popular here, but third? In my town? Yeah.

The article also mentioned that it was supposedly derived from the Biblical name Jadon, and that Jayden could also be used as a girl's name.

Also, the newspaper's suggestion: "If you do not want your child to be in class with 5 other Jaydens, you could always use an alternate spelling such as Jaden, Jadyn & Jeadan." (I guess that last one's a typo and should be Jaedan...not that that would make it any better).

Kheoma (g) prn. KEH-oh-mah (it's an indian name, it comes from the title of an italian movie, but her parents added the h)
Kiarrin (g) prn. K-YAHR-rin

WDYT?

Also, recently I've been toying with the name Jacopo (prn. YAH-coh-poh) for a boy.
He was the first child I baby-sat, for a long time, and a true love!

Does it match well with Alma?
