Clementine?

Hmm. So my husband and I are thinking about kids in the next year or two. We like Sebastian Pierce for a boy and Clementine (nn Cleo) for a girl. We can't agree on a middle name for Clementine though. Suggestions? Also, what else might Cleo be short for? I think he is really stuck on the Cleo part, more so than Clementine.

We've come up with:

Clementine Rose
Clementine Lacey (Lacey is a family name on my side)
Clementine Lucille
Clementine Mae

But we're not agreeing on any of the above.

Thanks for any suggestions/thoughts!

i like clementine mae the best. because it's such a long name, i'd go with a one syllable middle name.

one syllable names i like:

belle
eve
faye
greer
gwen
jane
lux
maeve
quinn
reese
tess
tyne
wren

I love Clementine :). Don't know what else Cleo could be short for, to be honest with you... then again I am kind of stuck on Clementine. Would you mind if I added it to my list? Won't be having kids myself for another 6+ years.

Clementine Mae is the winner in my opinion.

Clementine Anabel
Clementine Rose
Clementine Elaine
Clementine Dee
Clementine Suzanna
Clementine Skylar/Schuyler
Clementine Madison
Clementine Karissa
Clementine Adelaide
Clementine Joy
Clementine June
Clementine Rowan
Clementine Isabel
Clementine Reese
Clementine Paige
Clementine Lomeli (Lo-ma-lie)
Clementine Rebecca/Rebbecca/Rebekah/Rebeca/Rebeka/Rebecka (ha, my name is Rebecca... apparently it's misspelled o.O)
Clementine Rochelle
Clementine Sawyer
Clementine Katherine
Clementine Celeste
Clementine Christine
Clementine Rae
Clementine Michelle

I do too. I think that Clementine is a beautiful, elaborate name and Mae is simple, feminine and cute. Great balance :).

I have nothing actually helpful to say but I really like the name Sebastian Pierce :)

I like Sebastian Pierce a lot. However, I don't think Clementine ages well at all, and I don't think Cleo is a nickname, but a name on it's own.

definitely the first, Clementine Rose.

cleo could be short for cleopatra. i certainly wouldn't name my child that, though. ;]

i like sebastian but not pierce.

Aww, that's too bad! Clementine Violet is adorable!

My best friend has an older sister named Audra and I've always thought it was pretty.

I like all of them except Lucille, just because rhymthically it doesn't flow as well, because the emphasis is on the second syllable, so by the time you get to the emphasised syllable it sounds kind of like, da-da-da-da-DA... plodding along kind of thing. That probably makes no sense lol

The others all sound great. Clementine Rose is sweet, and Clementine Lacey is nice because of the significance for you family.

Clementine is my favourite name for a girl, and i find out in 4 weeks what sex im having yay :)

(im secretly hoping for a girl, mostly so i can use that name!)

I also really love Cleo as a name too, so they work perfectly together as a name and nn.

I have on my list for middle names so far:

Raven
Audrey
Ophelia
Willow
Indigo
Olive
Marley

not sure that helps you much, just thought id share coz its obvious you have awesome taste in names :)

I'm not crazy about Clementine, TBH. It makes me think of tangerines, the slutty cop on Reno 911, and "oh my darlin' clementine" (in that order).

Cleo can be a stand alone name. Cleo (Clio) was one of the Muses in Greek Mythology- the muse of history.

I do like Sebastian Pierce :)
