Last night I noticed a 2 yr old girl named Bostyn Tatum, and I got to thinking about just how popular place names are! India, Asia, Brooklyn, Ireland, Paris...the list goes on. So what do you guys think about place names? Love 'em? Hate 'em? Favorites? Is it better or worse to change the spelling? City named better than country names or does it matter?

I kind of like Bostyn. NMS really, but I think it's cute for someone else. Overall, I don't mind place names. Some can be kind of crazy like really creative spellings of Cheyenne, but Austin is kind of a classic and Savannah has been around for a while.

All right, to continue: list your top five favorite names for each letter of the alphabet.  We're still on girls' names, this time J-Q.  For girls' names A-I, see this post.  For inspiration, try Behind the Name.

Again, please note that several names are least disliked instead of most liked.

I'm babysitting my friends two daughters this week. They're from Belgium, the mothers name is Vivi, the father is Wim. The girls are Annelein (Anna - Lean) and Liselot (Lease-AH-lot) WDYT? I think it's charming but not sure I'd use them.

I was reading the attendance list at my school today, and noticed there was a girl named Lynea. I've never seen that name before (I assumed it was made up) and it makes me think of "linea" which means line in Spanish. I can't say I'm a fan.

Any thoughts?

Inspired by kitchen_poet's post on whether anyone thought Atticus would be the "next Aiden," or not; I thought it would be a good idea for a thread on what people do think will be the next:

Super popular girl's name? - eg. Madison(Madysen/Maddysin/Madisyne/etc./etc.), Addison(Addysen/Adysyne/etc./etc.), Olivia, Grace, Isabella, Sophia, Ava, and Emily.

Super popular boy's name? - eg. Aiden(Brayden/Cayden/Hayden/etc./etc.), Jack, Hunter, Ryan, Tristan, Parker, Tyler, Austin, Dylan and Mason.
