So after exactly a year of trying, we found out last night that we're finally going to have a baby! As soon as I found out, I had a strong feeling it's going to be a girl, and the overwhelming desire to change the middle name. I just feel like I HAVE to name her after my mother. We had previously decided on:

Charis Serena Anderson

But I want to call her after my Mother, whose name is Rebecca Jane. Except I can't decide which one to go with:

Charis Rebecca or
Charis Jane

Opinions? Right now I'm leaning towards Rebecca because I think she hates her middle name, But I adore Jane. I suppose 2 middle names are possible, Charis Jane Serena, or something, but I'm not really sure if I'm into the 2 middle names thing. I know I have PLENTY of time, but after a year of waiting, you get pretty excited. Of course, I'd love a boy just as much (which we'll name Julian *Jude for short* Calvin), just feel like this one is a girl. I also have one 6 year old son named Corbin Liam. Thanks!

opinions?

Lillian Reece and call her Lilly?

i woke up with that in my mind today. Yesterday i was all about Lilly Claire. The day before that it was Lillian Jane.

What are your thoughts, ladies?

THANKS!!

P.S. If this fixation on "Lilly" subsides, I might realize something new tomorrow...but considering my husband had cotton white hair until he was older and still has blonde hair...I feel like there is a good chance this baby will not get my olive skin or dark hair and eyes; and Lilly will be suitable.

I'm not expecting (to my knowledge, lol) but I like thinking of baby names, especially when I'm in a serious relationship.
My set-in-stone favorite for a girl this time around was Isabella (I live in Italy, so it's a known name here that has never been trendy), with Maria as a middle name, for various reasons: I really like it also as a first name, it would have honoured my SO's side of the family (his granny loves it), and also after Christina Aguilera's middle name (she's one of my big musical inspirations).
Isabella is just a name that popped in my mind one day and I've loved it ever since. I've always loved Ella as a nickname (but I really like Izzy, too), and liked Isabel and Elizabeth for quite some time. It would also flow perfectly with his last name, which starts with L.

Now I recently came across two considerations..
I'm cutting the entry so it won't clog the page )

Last weekend I saw Stardust, which is a rather good movie. One of the plot points was the King of Stormhold was dying, and the throne would be passed onto one of his sons. Tradition dictated that the sons literally kill each other and the last son alive would become the next ruler of stronghold. There were seven princes:

Primus
Secundus
Tertius
Quartus
Quintus
Sextus
Septimus

Obviously named for the order they were born in.

They also had a sister, Una. I thought that was kind of weird, naming her "one," as if there would only be one princess. What if the king and queen only had daughters?

Any thoughts?

Not that Im expecting, but I think long term monogomous(sp?) relationships = thinking about baby names! :P

Logan Knight Laberdesque

I picked out logan, and because my boyfriend was playing around with me, he added knight to it.I dont think he was serious, but the more I think of it, the more I like it. Obviously, the last name belongs to the boy-toy ;)

And for a girl....

Scarlett/Scarlet Rayne Laberdesque

I used to like it alot before hand. Yes I know it sounds rather gothic, its meant to be that way. But the passion I had for it has calmed somewhat, but I still find it cute/do-able.

Obviously, Im liking the Gothic-toned/Victorian names, so if anyone else has any ideas, I'd love to hear it :)

let me know what y'all think.

oh! and if you think one first name will go MUCH better with another middle name, or a middle name would suit better as a first name, or w/e, leave me a comment on here and tell me what the name YOU like would be. :-)

p.s. Bethel is the b/fs last name.

p.p.s, my mood has to do with my allergies... lol not that i can't take criticism. :D

My list of names, this is EVERY suggestion a person has given us so far. Very diverse.
I hate most of them lol but I wanted to give each name a chance.

I met two little boys today. They are almost two years old and adorable. They are identical twins........named..........

Isaac and Isaiah

I have to say I prefer them to the Jason and Mason I know but its still too close for my taste.

Any thoughts?

What are you favourite Gaelic names for boys and/or girls? I tried looking online but I was running into the problem that I had no idea how to pronounce the names. So please include the pronunciation, if you would, as most aren't pronounced the way they are spelled :P
