Leslie was my biological grandfather, he died in WW2 & my great grandmother remarried a man named John David
she had her youngest two sons with that man

( their children, etc. )

Also! my cousin & i know a man named Carl... we have always known him as this our whole lives, turns out his name is Earl Carl.
also just heard the name: Nathanial Samuel.

cat name

i rescued a sick little kitten on the fourth of july, and i can't decide on a name for him. what do you guys think he looks like? he's a gray tabby/white male cat. he has a little round patch of tabby on his white tummy. other than that his markings are pretty basic.

we have quite a few cats, i'll list a few of their names: darlene (f), marla (f), puck (m), todd (m), eddie poe (m), mustard (m), bill (m).

ideas i have so far: bruno, and...that's it. definitely not set on that name right now.

i love the name jacoby (juh-coe-bee)  - its hot. when i lived in humboldt there is a section of arcata called jacoby creek...

Do you have any favorite names that we ruined by a TV show or Movie or from a TV/Movie, because people will associate the names?

My boys names:  
*Nash (from One Life to Live, my husband couldn't deal because he hated the character.  Pregnancy attitude got him to watch:) )
*Spencer (OLTL also.  His character turned into a psychopath.  I couldn't get past it)
*Chandler (FRIENDS)
*Anakin (Star Wars)

My girls names:
*Arabella (someone told me this is an old mean woman on Harry Potter.  Seeing that I refuse to watch it, I wouldn't want to saddle my child with a name that reminds people of an elderly woman)
*Felicity (Kerri Russel's TV show)

This is a crazy question - but i know you guys can help...

I need a name that incorporates the following things (any or all of them)

It needs to be a male name, and shouldn't be too young sounding. It can be a word
that means the same as one of the requirements, makes you think about it, or something
you just think works. It can be something more along the lines of a dogs name then a persons
name as well (liek Lucky etc)

HELP PLEASE!!!

I've been reading this community for a while. I'm not planing on having children for a long time, I just really like names.
What are your favorite first and middle name combinations using the following names? Or what names would you pair with these names?

I have a much easier time picking out girl names than boy names. It is hard to find uncommon boy names that aren't too out there. The only boy names that I can think of that I really like are Silas, Julian, and Caleb. 

Also, what is your name? What do you think of it?
My name is Phoebe Rose. I used to hate it more than anything when I was younger. People can never say it right when reading it, and 90% of the time when I tell people my name I have to repeat myself at least once because they think I said "Bebe" or "Dede". Plus, the only other Phoebes anyone knows of are on TV (Friends, Charmed).
I've grown to appriciate having a somewhat unusual name, I think it builds character. However, I'm still not really crazy about the sound my name. I do really like the way my first and middle names sound together though.

Okay this is another Jo- question.  I have narrowed down my favorite ones to three.  which one do you like and why?  Johannah I like better than Joanna simply because of appearance.  I like the name Anna more than Hannah, but I like Johannah more than Joanna.  It's weird.  Joely I got from the actress Joely Fisher although I say it more like Kate Winslet says it in Eternal Sunshine... Joel-ee.  Jovie, I'll admit I got from Elf.  I like the sound of it for some reason, not really sure why.  I don't plan on naming a child any of these names as I already have my favorites, but who knows, things could change in the future.  The nickname for all of these would be Jo or Joey.[Poll #1016800]

I'm not particularly fond of place names as names (except maybe Florence), but as I am super-dooper bored, I felt like making a list of places, that I can remember having heard, people (including fictional people, of course) are actually called, or that I might have read someone on this group considering.
