Hi, I'm new here. Not TTC or anything for quite a while yet, just interested in interesting names.

I was walking in a graveyard last night and saw the name Lena Victorine on one of the headstones.
I'd never heard of Victorine before but apparently it means victory. What do you think?

Also what do you think of names with similar sounds in the middle generally? (I'm guessing it's L-ee-na Victor-ee-n,
any other ideas?)

And what do you think of first and last names with the same first letter like Lena Lastname?

And what could be a nickname for Victorine apart from Vicky or Tory?

When my husband and I were pregnant the last time around, we had two names - depending on what sex the baby was. We had Simon Winston last October. That means that, now that we're pregnant again, we're down a boy name. No names are sticking to my soul like Simon did. What's a good (read: not trendy) name if our next babe is a boy?

I saw a film recently where the main character had the name Jeliza-Rose.
What do you think about it and double first names in general? I'm not sure generally, but I kind of like this.

Also if you found a name in a book or film would you consider it for your future child even if the character's tale was tragic?
Or would you not be able to get past the association?

There's a girl in my choir class named Caiyghtealynne, pronounced CAY-tee-uh-lynn. The name it's self isn't too horrific, if it were spelled Katialyn or something, but that spelling is terrible.

WDYT?
