I like very old fashioned names. I don't really like all the new names. Though I am a huge fan of mythology. Because of that I LOVE the name Lilith for a girl. In some folklore she is also paired with Samuel which I like for a boy.

The problem? I can't think of any good middle names to go with them. I thought maybe Samuel David, but I dunno. Some suggest some good middle names.

so i'm having a baby and said baby is due nov. 5th, and we still don't know the sex (but we will here REALLY soon!!) but we have a couple of names picked out and i wanted some input.  here they are:

girl (duh!)

maggie abigail brecht

boy:

owen ______ brecht

owen is my last name and i've always wanted it to be the first name if i have a boy, with maggie abigail brecht, i just came up with the abigail part last night in a dream i had, but i think i really like it, it seems to flow well together, i mean with the g's in the first and middle and the b's in the middle and last but before i share this with my boyfriend i wanted other people's opinions (i'm afraid it sounds silly and is going to be shot down by my boyfriend fast, but i've been saying it out loud all morning and i am really becoming quite attached to it so i don't want to get upset if he does this, so if other people shoot it down first then i won't take it out on him....poor poor brendan.  he gets the brunt of my pregnancy a lot....)  oh and just in case it's not clear, brecht will be it's last name.

How would you pronounce AceaI think it's celtic, and it means little warrior girl.  I think it looks pretty but I have no idea how to say it!

Also, how would YOU spell...
Bronwen, Bronwyn, Bronwynn?

*I can't stop thinking about names today*

Sapphira

What are your thoughts? It's not my favorite or anything, so feel free to be as honest as you want. I anticipate many of the comments will go more in a stripper direction, and while I understand that point of view, I'd also like some more open-minded opinions on if you actually knew or imagined knowing a real normal girl/woman who was NOT a stripper, do you think you'd get used to it or even like it?

I just think it has so much potential. I love the stone (my birth stone) and I love the way the name looks written down and the way it sounds too. I just wonder if it's a hopelessly stigmatized name.

And what is it about Ruby, Opal, and Pearl that makes them more acceptable as names anyway?

Thanks for your thoughts and opinions.

Edit: No, I do not mean Sapphire. I mean Sapphira. (sa-FEAR-uh or sa-FIE-rah) Separate but obviously related. I would've thought that was obvious, but I guess some of you haven't heard the name version before.

Ideas for middle names to go with Adrienne. I want a pretty classic name- nothing to crazy or trendy.

Does anybody here want kids? If so how many and what would you name them? I want four two girls: Lily Jade and Anna Elizabeth, and two boys: Aiden Christopher, and Simon James.

Our surame is King, and my husband keeps nay-ing every single boy's name I suggest, because he comes up with reasons it won't work with King. For example, Jonah = Joe = Joe King = Joking. Levi = Le Viking. Cameron = Cam = Cam King which is apparently some kind of camera shop reference. Charlie = Chuck King. Ethan King = He Thinking.. it goes on and on and on, even ones I don't think anybody would ever dream up, he manages to find some reason why it's not good. The only one so far he hasn't been able to discount on the basis of our last name is Seth and he "doesn't like that one much."

So, help! What are some names that would work? Richard, Alan, Jack, George, William, Scott, Kevin, John, Jeff and Robert are all out because these are names of close family members and we don't want to name the baby after anyone to avoid people fighting.

I'd prefer something a little bit original/not too popular, but don't want any -aden names and any too-made-up names.

Help! Whatcha got? Anything to get my mind going would be helpful/appreciated.

I'm Rachel. But I realllyyyy don't love that. I don't know, most peple at least feel good about THEIR names, but me... ehh not so much. My mom and I have talked about me wanting to change it, and she actually said we'll see. So, I might as well come up with some solid ideas.

I Like the names
Chloe
Eden
Jadyn
Anna (Ahna)
Danielle

and plenty more. But I don't want to use something on me that I'd want for a future daughter. So I've got a pick under the cut, tell me what I look like? I like a ton of different kinds of names, so new stuff, old stuff, anything. Even funky spelling. Go wild hunns.
