I don't like repeating myself. I said this a few weeks ago. I don't like the 'name-me' posts either, but they are more or less on topic with names. I really dislike the idea of some of you running off people that aren't pregnant or TTC. Some people are here just because they love names, and that's a wonderful thing if you ask me. I'd like for them to stay, as they have good ideas and offer TONS of good advice to those who ask for it. (Mostly in a polite way, may I add.) If you don't like it, do what I do and skip over it. They are well labeled, under a cut, and more or less un-obtrusive. Don't come here and posting rude drama-stirring posts because you can't ignore it. I especially don't appreciate some of you making some of our good members possibly feel unwelcome with all this 'we should be strictly baby names' business. This is SUPPOSED to be a relaxed and laid back community for ALL people. Lets keep it that way.

Hello : )

On monday, one of my friends had a baby boy.  They named him Tristan Elijah and their 2 year old is named Ashton Jordan.

Yay for little boys!

I was a bit surprised that the name "Lynn" has never appeared on the social security list. I know that Lynn is more common / and over used as a middle name - but I thought it was semi-used for a first name.

Lyn and Lynne also had no apprences.

41 times. That's the number of times in 2005 that a name with either Lynn or Lyn as it's ending made the girl list.

What are your thoughts on the name Lynn? Great for a first? Better as a middle? Rather keep it with something such as Carolyn? Or do you highly dislike it period?

Cut for my thought )

Nickname for Eva.
(because I'm a nicknamie kinda girl)

What do you think...
Evy or Evie.
Evie looks better but.. Evy is... different.
And probably very annoying.
(as is me writing this post in prose)
Does it look like it would be pronounced any different to Ee-Vee ?
O what about Evee. hehe.

Much love. :)
