Just to make this poll interesting, instead of focussing on name spellings or the like, I decided to look at theme names. All of these names share a "flower" theme, and all are a tad rare. I looked over a list of flower names and chose these as the ones I liked most. Personally, I probably would not use these names for my own child. I'd be more inclined to go with a more common name such as Lily or Violet, just for spelling ease, though I really love some of these names. What do y'all think?

[Poll #678538]

Oh, and Alexandra by far won the last poll, with Alexa second and Alexandria third.

Okay. So please,
HELP!

We are going in for our ultrasound on March 13th where we plan to attempt to locate sex and chose name for baby.
I have a girls name all picked out, but am COMPLETELY STUMPED on boys names.
My husband’s favorite name? Xanth….
I like it, but it just doesn’t seem right!
Some of my suggestions have been:
Xavier
Rex
Laurance (Law for short)
Adam
Adric
Clark
Acheron
Jordan
Kelric
Crighton
Trystan
Wesley

I want something not too popular, nothing that was high on the list last year…. (I’m a Jennifer, so I hate popular names!)
We both love SciF/Fantasy type names, names from books, ect.

Any ideas?
I like the idea of using the Middle name of Isaac, as it’s a family name.

HELP!

Ok so here's a good discussion topic...
if it weren't a _________ i would (maybe) name my child ________

my big one is Allegra...i love the name but i would never subject my child to the torture of being named after an allergy medication.

So the name Eloise seems to have risen in popularity over the last few months. I love it. I think it is a classic name from the 1920s that reminds me of Art Deco and the Plaza. However, I was wondering how many of you think the name Lois will rise in proportion with Eloise?

Lois (LOW-iss)
Hebrew Origin
Meaning: "Good"

In France and Germany there would be an umlat over the i in Lois, making it sound like Eloise without the E at the front.

While Eloise was only ranked 198 at its highest point Lois was 22.

For those of you who like Eloise, why do you think Lois hasn't enjoyed the same rise in popularity?
