Just thought I'd throw this out there

What do you all think of the name "Evar" I'm not sure where it came from (I'm from Alabama) but I knew a lady named this and then the lady's granddaughter had it as a middle name. I think it's kinda cute...The older lady pronounced hers as "E-var" long e sound. The granddaughter pronounces hers as "ever"
Has anyone else ever heard this name? Anyone know the meaning/origin?

I think it's kinda cute...

hehe, like my extended family from Connecticut. My little brother couldn't understand why they kept correcting him when he tried to pronounce their dog's name just like they did- Doo Dar, they said
"No, it's Doo Dar, like zippity-do-dar"
..."Ohhh, Doo Dah?"
..."Yeah, Doo Dar"
I always get a kick out of telling that story. I noticed when we were in Rhode Island a lot of people had that same accent as well.
