my mother wanted to name me tuesday, which is the day i was born. she had already had katelyn picked out. my dad named me though so i wound up carrie marie.

as my mom used to tell it, they never even picked out a boys name because she always knew i would be a girl.

My mom wanted to name me Sergio if I was a boy. It would have worked with her Italian maiden name, but not with her English married name. I think another alternative was Eric.

I don't know if my parents had alternative girl names for me. I know my dad picked out Alyssa, which seems kinda shocking considering most guys pick really bad names. If I were a boy my name would have been Jeffrey or Kevin. When my mom was pregnant with my brother, we voted as a family between Jeffrey and Kevin, I voted for Kevin and it ultimately won.

I am Erin Elizabeth (The oldest girl to be born into a family since my great-grandma has had the middle name Elizabeth, after my great-great-grandma). We needed to keep the Irish in the family! Hence, Erin.
