I would not at all mind Marie Claire or Claire Marie......But this is all one name =|

Usually Marie Claire is pronounced as Mariclaire anyway.
Like Marryclaire rather than the usual hyhenated pronunciation of names.
As far as smushness goes this is quite acceptable to me...after all we have Mariella, Marianne.. why not Mariclaire.

Don't like it much, but it's not awwwful.
