I've been incessently bothering my husband about figuring out a boy's name before our ultrasound. He thinks he likes Jayden Paul (which uses my father's middle name), and I like it.

It's not my first choice, but what do y'all think?

I really really like the name..really

I dont kow why they all dont like it..I mean..in the 80s stephanie and co were super trendy...and ??? .. I know a lot f stephanies and they dont care...

its a cute name...
it flows well...its not a crazy spelling or a super kreative name (where you have to ask about 50x how you have to write it)...
and if you like it..I would use it..

Oooh, trust me, having a super-common name is no fun at all. My name was the second most popular for the year I was born -- I was surrounded by people with my name growing up, and I HATED it. Made me feel so...ordinary. My mom had no idea that the name was so common...too bad she didn't have the Internet there to assist her in her choice!

So I, too, would advise against any -ayden-type name.

I agree. I know so many people with my name. There's always been people with the same name in my class and it always gets confusing. My name is Amanda btw. It was number three the year I was born. I go by Mandy now but even with my nickname I still run into people with the same name all the time.

It honestly depends on the person whether or not they mind. Like I am a Jessica from the 80s and I could really care less. There's more to my personality that sets me apart than my name.

Some people, however, have a complex about being CommonName C. for their lives.

I do think Jayden is a little on the creative side as far as spelling goes. However, I think with any of the -ayden names, you're going to have that spelling issue because there are so many different ways to spell it. Looking at the SSA website, there are 3 ways to spell Jaiden (my preferred spelling, though I do not like the name anyway) just in the top 100 (boys and girls, since it's a unisex name). Aidan has even more variations!
