hahahaha! yeah I was trying to think of names that were popular when my mom was little. I have an Aunt Linda, which is also my middle name.

I'm trying to think of some of my old relatives, hah.

Marilyn, Patricia, Kathleen, Betty, Beverley, Gloria, Wendy, Valerie.

It seems to be harder with men, as the names are more durable, but Norman, Leslie, Malcolm, Jimmy, Howard, Frank. I think the women's names are easier to pinpoint to a specific era, though.

When I think retro, I'm more likely to think the 80's... So Jennifer, Amanda, Melissa, Jessica, those kinds of names, for girls. Maybe Kimberly. Pretty much the names of me and all my friends >.

That's true, too! For some reason, Amanda sticks out to me as an especially 80s name, and it'd be weird to meet young ones.

while I don't know if I can stomach the idea of the 80s being retro, I have to add the names tiffany, amber and kelly.

40sish retro, maybe Gladys, Ruby, Doreen, Kitty, Eugene, Bobby, Myrna,
50sish- Pat, Marilyn, Gail, Lucile, Dick, Susie, Janet, Helen

Pamela, Meredith (or it used to be before Grey's Anatomy), Deirdre, Maureen, Kerry... I'm just trying to think of all the middle-aged women I work with at the library!
