Cohen. The other ones look made-up.

I like it, and I like the Cohen spelling.

It's really odd for me to see Cohen spelled any other way, I have to say. I guess it's what you do with trendy names, but, you know, like half the people at my temple are named something-or-other Cohen, so. I do like it (Cohen, but only if it's spelled that way) as a first name. It's strong.

That's a gorgeous combination! I just love last names as first names for boys.

I'm sorry but this is off topic. I HAVE to steal that icon. Can I?

I must disapprove of use of Cohen as a first name in any form. While, in a way, it's nice to see surnames that don't come from the United Kingdom being used as first names, it doesn't make Cohen any better.

I don't mind it but it most definitely should be spelled Cohen.

I would spell it Cohen. I have a friend whose last name is Cowan and his family pronounces it Cow-ann. I would under no circumstances give a child a name with the word 'cow' in it.

[identity profile] fleckerbug.livejournal.com 2007-03-18 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, they pronounce it more like 'Cow-in'.

[identity profile] krosp.livejournal.com 2007-03-18 10:59 am (UTC)(link)
That's true, I know a Cowan that is like COW (moo) uhn.

I think Cohen is a great spelling for it.

[identity profile] krosp.livejournal.com 2007-03-18 10:59 am (UTC)(link)
as in - i know people whose last name is Cowan not their first name.

I like :

Cowen
Cowyn

Cohen looks like a surname to me

Cohen. Definitely Cohen.

[identity profile] hitzpink.livejournal.com 2007-03-18 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Cohen, but I don't like it cause it's a last name.

[identity profile] bloomingtulip.livejournal.com 2007-03-18 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
absolutely love it as Cohen

[identity profile] blush.livejournal.com 2007-03-19 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
Cohen. Looks pretty ridiculous any other way.

[identity profile] sotypical42483.livejournal.com 2007-03-19 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
hate it. Reminds me too much of the OC, I'm fairly certain that's where everyone got the "great" idea to use this as a first name.

[identity profile] sotypical42483.livejournal.com 2007-03-20 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
No, there's a character on there called Seth Cohen but his gf calls him Cohen all the time.

Coen or Koen is a dutch name which sounds TOTALLY different then Cohen.
the -oe- sound doesnt exsist in English

Cohen looks like a last name to me, but i kindaa like it :)
