What are opinions of Dennis for a boy? It's a name that runs throughout my family, but I don't see it used these days. Is it that bad?

I think it's frumpy and blech. Makes me think of Dennis Nedry from Jurassic Park.

I think it's just fallen out of favor. Personally, I don't think it's that bad! Although the kid may get "Dennis the Menace" jokes...

It runs through my family, so that's why I don't like it. I got tired of seeing Dennis having Dennis having Dennis having Dennis.

Other than Dennis the Menace, which really I think is too out of date for his classmates to know about, I think it's adorable. To me it's a very.. common, I guess, name, but isn't used much so would be nice and unique without being unyke or kre8tyv.

oh, I know, the cartoon hasn't been aroundin ages.. but the strip still is (in the paper my grama gets, anyway) so I imagine some kids will be faced with it. though it'll likely be less "pop culture" without the cartoon too.

It's my dad's name, and it's a little out of style, but then again so are names Like Eleanor and that's coming back. And I like Dennis anyway.

I love it! And if I didn't have a cousin named Dennis I would definitely think about using it. It also helps that one of my best friends from high school was named Dennis.
I also like it because it fits both the baby and the grown-up.

Dennis is my dad's name. I really don't like it but I don't mind Denny...
