anyone ever consider three names?
Feb. 28th, 2007 01:55 pmQueen Victoria's daughters had three and four names:
Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise
Alice Maud Mary
Helena Augusta Victoria
Louise Caroline Alberta
Beatrice Mary Victoria
Mind you I wouldn't personally use Victoria as a first name, nor has Adelaide or Alberta ever crossed my lips, but don't they sound so pretty together like that?
I've always wanted to name a girl Eleanor. Beatriz because it's a generations middle name, and Mary is my grandmother's name. (For example: Eleanor Beatriz Mary).
What do you all think?

Date: 2007-03-02 08:19 am (UTC)Our biggest reason for wanting multiple names is our daughter. She had a two-part first name though, not hyphenated-- I really don't like hyphenated first or middle names, with a total of 5 names.
Her name was (fn, mn, ln in brackets) [Brenna Rose][Sherman][Brown-Hand]. Brenna Rose had been high in the running for girl names but not 100% decided, but we were pretty sure that was the one. We started calling her that, I think, before she was born. I gave birth prematurely and my memory from finding out gender to giving birth is fuzzy, forgive me. 'Sherman' was a spur of the moment decision-- my beloved cat 0f 13 years-- Sherman, had died 2 weeks before. Sometime I wonder if it was the morphine, but it was also a sweet homage to my kitty and a good luck charm to my daughter. ;)
