initial matching
What is your guys stance on sibling initial matching?
Example:
John Clifton
Julianne Chloe
Jacob Christopher
is that bad? or cute? or what?

Two of my favorite girl names are Adelaide and Adrienne and I plan to use them if I have girls in the future.
But, the two A's would have a big brother L, so it doesn't really fit the template.

So I like it, lol. We both always did and we are told that it was unintentional - just one of those things they realized.

I guess it's okay if you're SURE you and your spouse agree on enough same-initial names to cover as many kids as you're likely to have, but it's still not really my taste,

It's the twins that are called Jeremiah and Jedidiah that bother me the most in that family.

If it's the only reason to choose a name, it's a bad reason. If it's a coincidence, it's fine.

We didn't set that great an example ourselves, though-- our cats' names are Persephone, Inanna, Zeus, aaaand.. Nibbler. The first two are sisters and their names were chosen to compliment each other and it just went from there. Of course, Niblonians are a god-like race.

Everyone in my husbands family except the mom is a J, and that includes cousins, aunts, uncles, heck, even a good number of inlaws. We use the middle initials to mark cups, etc. I'm not sure what you would do if all three initials were the same.
However, I have a friend who married a man with the same initials, and in that case I could see it being kinda cool....but for heaven's sakes only if you were having a few kids and didn't have to start making up names.
Me, I'll never have a Julia even though I like the name because I already have 3 Js in the immediate family and that's enough!

I agree with screaming_pink though - trying too hard makes it annoying.
