BF and I were talking about names we liked for girls and we chose 3. However, we need a middle name to go with Heidi

Future sibset for:
Olivia Grace
Amelia Isobel

Boy names:
Hunter Allen
Landon Patrick

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks. Smile

My old best friend's name is Olivia Grace and really ugly. Thus, I associate the name with unattractiveness.

Heidi is not a name you hear much anymore and I think it's a shame because I've always loved my name. My mom's name is Heidi (well, it's been shortened to Heidi from the German Heidrun) and I was named Heidi after her. I wanted to continue the Heidi thing with my daughter and call her Heidi-Anne (like MaryAnn) but my husband wanted somethign else. I 'm still a little sorry I didn't go with it though. But anyway, I think Heidi Anne is a pretty name and Anne is a nice middle name for Heidi. Just MHO.

I know at least 5 Olivia Graces including my niece. VERY common but still lovely.

Oh and I forgot to mention that I love Amelia too. It was on my "short list" but my husband had a bad association for that name so it got scratched. I'm sorry about that one too. I simply love it.

Heidi-Anne (as a first name) Virginia was one of our choices. (My MIL's name is Virginia so we'd be getting both grandma's names in.) So I guess long or short middle names it doesn't really matter to me. I'm not as caught up in the whole "it needs to sound right" thing with names as much as their having meaning to us. I kind of laugh when I write that though, because we did end up chosing our daughter's name simply because we liked how it sounded and it just seemed to fit her! We ended up with Alyssa Arianna. It wasn't even at the top of our list that we brought to the hospital.

A few other ideas:

Heidi Katherine
Heidi Kate (if you want short)
Heidi Claire
Heidi Arianna
Heidi Amelia (that's pretty -- never put those two together myself)

It really depends if the last name is long or short IMO =]

To me, Heidi is and always will be a nickname for Adelaide. (from the German Adelheid). It's such a nickname-y sort of name. I'd go with Adelaide but if you are dead set on Heidi, I suggest

Heidi Rose
Heidi Jane
Heidi Marie

Because Heidi is so outré, I would pick a fairly common middle name, so that it isn't overwhelming.
