WDYT?
Taryn is the definite spelling of the first name and the mn is definitely some form of Elise. I knew someone with the spelling Alyse and have always preferred it for some reason but I'm not sure quite how I feel about so many 'y's as I'm not a fan of substituting them for other letters... Opinions on the spelling or the name in general?

Ummm... I'd personally stay away from starting with the "A" then. I can forsee many mis-pronounciations if one was reading it aloud. I, for one, would have said "AH-Lis", not El-LEESE.
Sorry!

I'd definitely stay away from the "a" then, for the sake of other goofs like me ;).

nah, it's not that I can't bring myself to do it, I just knew this girl (a good friend of my sister's) who spelled it Alyse & I got so used to seeing it that it became 'normal' to me. but the 'y' in both names makes me cringe too. and yet, I want to spell Elise with an A even though I know it's just so wrong and I'd never encourage anyone else to do it.
pregnancy makes me crazy. lol
