Taryn is the definite spelling of the first name and the mn is definitely some form of Elise. I knew someone with the spelling Alyse and have always preferred it for some reason but I'm not sure quite how I feel about so many 'y's as I'm not a fan of substituting them for other letters... Opinions on the spelling or the name in general?

Ummm... I'd personally stay away from starting with the "A" then. I can forsee many mis-pronounciations if one was reading it aloud. I, for one, would have said "AH-Lis", not El-LEESE.

right, like "Uh-lease" more than "EE-lease". but def not "ah-lis" as in Wonderland. ;)

Sorry there. *giggles* I was reading, but not GETTING what you were asking, so that was my confusion.

I'd definitely stay away from the "a" then, for the sake of other goofs like me ;).
