[identity profile] army-wife51b.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Hello, I just found out that our second child will be another boy and need some help picking his name.  I have a few general ideas, I'll place them behind a cut so I don't take up your friend's page.  :-)

I am very picky about names, based on 2 things:  Meaning and Syllables.  I feel those are very important when making the right name.

For instance, my first son's name is Madison(please don't flame me) we named him that because we found out the original meaning is "son of a great soldier" or "son of a warrior".   My husband is in the army, and he really liked that name for obvious reasons.  We picked this out without knowing that it was a popular girl's name...oh well.  We really like it, based on it's original meaning, not it's current popularity for girls(no offense to anyone who has or has decided to named their daughter this).

Anywho...Madison's full name is Madison Henry Lentz.  If you break down the syllables, it goes 3-2-1, so it has a nice flow to it.  Henry was my husband's great grandfather's name, so that is why we picked it.  We will probably pick another family name for the middle name, so I don't need help there.

I am thinking of going with a 2 syllable name for this baby, and have it end with an "n".  As opposed to having my children have names matching with an obvious first letter, I thought a subtle matching last letter would be nicer.

Example:
Nathan Daniel Lentz (2-2-1)  or Madison and Nathan--but not that name, that is just an example.

Any ideas?  The only other name I could think of that ends with an "n" and has 2 syllables is Jordan, but I don't really like that.  Please, if you know the meanings behind names, that would help.  I don't really like generic names...but you could just give me ideas and I can look up the meanings later.

Thank you for your help.  :-)
