I was friends with a girl when I was younger named Rhea (pron. Ray-uh), and I've loved the name ever since. I always assumed this was the common pronunciation, until I heard it pronounced Ree-uh... which I do not like. And I guess this is the more common pronunciation of the name.

What do you think of Raya... or possibly Rhaya. I hate "creative" names and I think that these look a little too made-up, but I love the way it sounds! What do you think?

My husband's cousin's last name is Raia and it's pronounced (Ray-uh). She gave it to her daughter as a middle name. :)

I love the name Rhea, it's been on my list since I was preggers and my online Euchre partner jokingly called my unborn that. I like both pronounciations...

i would pronounce 'rhea' like 'ray-uh'. i had a childhood friend who spelled/pronounced it that way and i think it's the proper greek way. so i'd keep the original spelling!

My thoughts exactly! Raya looks like Maya, so I would assume it would rhyme with it as well. Raia looks beautiful, but i would also pronounce it rye-uh. If you want ray-uh, I would stick to Rhea.

I read Rhea as Ray-uh right away, I wouldn't change the spelling, those other options look terrible.
