Never gonna have a kid, but love my characters like they were my kids (probably more). Wondering what your thoughts are on Catherine. I'm adamant on spelling it with a C, but it seems as though spelling it with a K would lend itself to more nicknames. (In more traditional ways of spelling anyway.)

[Poll #891433]

While we're at it: which spelling do you prefer? Catherine? Katherine? Katharine? Kathryn?

Don't know if any of you watch NewsRadio, but there's a Catherine in there who was pissed off at the newspaper spelling her name wrong. In the words of the venerable Catherine Duke:

Catherine with a C is regal. Katherine with a K is a two-bit hooker in Jersey.

The rebuttal: Tell that to Katharine Hepburn.

With a c. Katherine with a k looks harsh to me.

I like the nicknames Cat, Kate, or Katie but the latter two spelled with k's.
