A girl in my Gym and Math Class is named Meaghanne Florabelle. She's a relatively nice person but, ack. The spelling of her first name hurts my eyes.

Gillian seems masculine to me. With the possible nickname of Giles.

Ever since I saw Practical Magic, I've loved Gillian with a G. Mainly because I think J names are so common.

Gillian! So, so, so much more. It's actually pretty much my number one name for a girl... maybe I'm biased. I really love it. Gillian is a lot more classical, too. Jillian is kind of like a desperate attempt to formalise Jill, which is a nice enough name, but not very "dignified" (mostly associated with younger people and 'Jack and Jill').
