Dec. 12th, 2006 09:08 pmI just got married. (yay!)
And my last name is Hazzard now.
We are naming our first son John - who will be called Jack. I think it sounds ok. Jack Hazzard.
But we were agreed on naming the next child "Tom"
and now I'm falling in love with the name "Maxwell" and it's driving me nuts.
Would a child named Maxwell be automatically called "Max" by his peers?
Max Hazzard would just be mean, I think.

Date: 2006-12-13 02:28 pm (UTC)Also, I don't like it when people call John's Jack. It sounds like the one name is not good enough since it's the same number of syllables and the same number of letters. It seems like it would just confusing for kids to understand that too. Not necessarily HIM, but all his friends and teachers and stuff. He'd always be called John by his teachers and everyone until he corrected them. He'd have to correct every person he met! Anyways, that's just my opinion.
Just whatever you do don't name one of your boys Duke! LOL
