Dec. 12th, 2006 09:08 pmI just got married. (yay!)
And my last name is Hazzard now.
We are naming our first son John - who will be called Jack. I think it sounds ok. Jack Hazzard.
But we were agreed on naming the next child "Tom"
and now I'm falling in love with the name "Maxwell" and it's driving me nuts.
Would a child named Maxwell be automatically called "Max" by his peers?
Max Hazzard would just be mean, I think.

Date: 2006-12-13 01:50 pm (UTC)I have noticed that even when I write Maxwell on my son's name-tag at gymboree people call him Max a lot. Since I call him Max myself at times, I don't have a problem with it. It is just something I have noticed, but it is something to keep in mind if you can't stand, "Max".
I think a lot of people just shorten names without thinking about it. I have been guilty of this myself!
