One of my very good friends had a baby a few months ago and named him John Vincent, but she calls him Vincent. Personally, I love the Vincent but could do without the John, but it's a family name. And another friend of mine is expecting a boy in April, and the name she has chosen for him is Mason Dean. I like Mason, but can't stand Dean. She can't either, but again, family name that her husband's adamant about.

And I agree with them sounding better with longer names. Mason Dean sounds too choppy to me.
