kinda weird question..
Dec. 2nd, 2006 06:31 amHow do you all prefer to spell names ending in -lyn or-line? Does it depend on the name? On the pronunciation? Like Caro-lyn vs. Caro-line. nyone think it weird when a name spelled -line is pronounced -lyn.
I ask because I prefer -line. -lyn rubs me wierd. Hell, I don't even like-lyn/-line names, but I have absolutely fallen in love with a name that I want to use for our next daughter. The way I saw it, the only way I've seen it is spelled -lyn. And yes, I'm going to be mean and not mention the name, sorry. I guess I would feel weird changing it. I'm weird like that. I have to buy the first thing I see.. I apologize to stuffed animals for not buying them..
I finally got my husband to agree on this name. He thgouht I was kidding at first (we heard it in a movie, it is the name of an author).
He doesn't like my other name, though. I don't think anyone would. I'm sure I'll get shit from you guys(heh, like I won't for my cryptic -lyn vs. -line question and my stuffed animals statement), but I love Eulalia, the Spanish pronunciation: Eh-ooh-la-lia. Maybe I'll get him to use it for a middle name. :)
Thanks.
