There are multiple countries. I don't remember which though. I was thinking Sweden, Denmark and France all had to approve names before they became official.

There are laws on the books in Norway, Malaysia, Japan, Germany, and Portugal as well, though they all have varying degrees of strictness.

I have cousins whse last name is Gugelman.. sadly there was no choice there, they are just stuck with it. (the Gugel is prn. like Google)

I think the most unfortunate last name I've experienced is Capenigro.

Seems fine, but it is pronounced Cap-a-Negro and the family [girl I went to school with] lives in Detroit, MI.
I remember her getting teased when we were middle school aged kids because of it.

Eeehhh he can always go by Kai and he will always have a converstion piece in his name.

I'm not saying people should start naming trends like that but at least he has Kai to go by.

My husband use to go by his last name in college and Kai is also a name. I'm not saying it's going to be easy I just think people are getting way too "0000nn0000zzzz h0w h0rrible" about and I personally find it amusing as hell. Sure the kit will most likely change his name but he can always go by a nickname.

This is coming from me though - before my husband put the nix on it I was wanting to call this baby boy Chaos - yes as his first name Chaos but as I said that was majorly nixed.
