Matt Lauer and his wife had a baby boy this morning. They named him Thijs, which is apparently a common Dutch name (Lauer's wife is Dutch) pronounced "Tice".

Personally, I don't like it. But, then, I'm not Dutch. I like the names of their other two children, Jack and Romy, though.

I love the sound of it, but the spelling is terrible, even if it is traditional Dutch. Only because the poor kid will CONSTANTLY be having to tell people how to pronounce it in school when teachers read the roll and freeze up at the sight of it. LoL I've had to do this all my life with my last name, and I just know that LOOK when they get to my name. Sucks even worse if it's your first name!
