Date: 2006-11-26 03:38 am (UTC)Willa Austen: Willa will always be for Willa Jean from the Ramona books for me...and Austen is okay.
Mathilda Kathryn: Prefer Matilda but really don't prefer it at all...Kathryn is gross.
Isobel Kathleen: I like Isabelle, and Kathleen seems like a really ugly, old name to me.
Elinor Susannah: ElEAnor I love, Susannah I have no opinion on.
Joannah Iris: Hate Joannah, very 'farmy' to me...Iris is nice.
Boys:
Cyrus Jude: They don't really seem to go together. Cyrus is kinda an anime fanfiction-by-a-13-year-old name and Jude is classy.
Mathieu Thatcher (go by thatcher.): So name him Thatcher Mathieu, I don't understand why you would name a child something you don't plan on calling him. The spelling of Mathieu is interesting and I like it, but I don't dig "occupation" names. (Thatcher, Tanner, etc)
Peter Liam: I like it.
Jasper Thomas: No on Jasper, yes to Thomas.
Henry Sebastien (go by sebastien.): Once again, why not name him what you're going to call him? I like both Henry and Sebastien.

Date: 2006-11-26 05:09 am (UTC)Ha, that's EXACTLY the same for me! Whenever I hear that name, I instantly think of Willa Jean breaking her accordian... Good times. Also, even though I know and like Willa Cather, and the name was used on Six Feet Under (one of my favourite shows), it always sounds... unfinished to me. Don't know why.
I like a lot of these names, so good stuff! And I get giving your child one name but calling them by another (I plan on calling my son Sebastian but having him go by Stevie most of the time. There's an explanation for this somewhere).
