Why not use the name you want the kid to go by ... as the first name to begin with? >_o

I can't speak for the OP, but I know in some cases the initials are bad if you use the names in the order you want. I went to school with a David Sebastian P_____, and he went by Sebastian. His parents didn't want him to have the initials SDP (a political party).

Sebastien Henry sounds better to me.

Willa Austen - I quite like Willa, but Austen is...hmm, not my taste.
Mathilda Kathryn - I like it
Isobel Kathleen - Quite like Isobel but hate Kathleen
Elinor Susannah - I hate Elinor but like Susnnah
Joannah Iris - Don't like this at all

Boys:

Cyrus Jude - There's something about the name Cyrus...I feel like I should like it but it has an evil vibe to it. Weird. I like Jude though
Mathieu Thatcher (go by thatcher.) - Sorry, but Thatcher is horrible!
Peter Liam - Meh, nice enough.
Jasper Thomas - I really like Jasper. Thomas is kind of meh.
Henry Sebastien (go by sebastien.) - Not my style but not a bad name.

lol i know what u mean about the evil vibe from Cyrus.. i do love it though. It's like Sirius but if i went over the top with my HP fandom and called a kid Sirius i think i'd be arrested for child abuse!

I love Thatcher! :-)

I take it Willa Austen is for Willa Cather and Jane Austen or something, they happen to be two of my favorite authors. :-)

I love love love Iris. I'd use it myself if we weren't already stuck on Aurora.
Mathilda is beautiful too, as is Isobel. So many choices!!!

I also like Jasper and Mathieu. :)

Girls:

Willa Austen: Willa will always be for Willa Jean from the Ramona books for me...and Austen is okay.
Mathilda Kathryn: Prefer Matilda but really don't prefer it at all...Kathryn is gross.
Isobel Kathleen: I like Isabelle, and Kathleen seems like a really ugly, old name to me.
Elinor Susannah: ElEAnor I love, Susannah I have no opinion on.
Joannah Iris: Hate Joannah, very 'farmy' to me...Iris is nice.

Boys:

Cyrus Jude: They don't really seem to go together. Cyrus is kinda an anime fanfiction-by-a-13-year-old name and Jude is classy.
Mathieu Thatcher (go by thatcher.): So name him Thatcher Mathieu, I don't understand why you would name a child something you don't plan on calling him. The spelling of Mathieu is interesting and I like it, but I don't dig "occupation" names. (Thatcher, Tanner, etc)
Peter Liam: I like it.
Jasper Thomas: No on Jasper, yes to Thomas.
Henry Sebastien (go by sebastien.): Once again, why not name him what you're going to call him? I like both Henry and Sebastien.

Willa will always be for Willa Jean from the Ramona books for me.

Ha, that's EXACTLY the same for me! Whenever I hear that name, I instantly think of Willa Jean breaking her accordian... Good times. Also, even though I know and like Willa Cather, and the name was used on Six Feet Under (one of my favourite shows), it always sounds... unfinished to me. Don't know why.

I like a lot of these names, so good stuff! And I get giving your child one name but calling them by another (I plan on calling my son Sebastian but having him go by Stevie most of the time. There's an explanation for this somewhere).

Girls:
Willa Austen~ love Willa and I'm guessing the combo of Willa and Austen is an homage to the writers. However, I think Willa Jane would be SO much prettier.

Mathilda Kathryn~Beautiful.

Isobel Kathleen~ LOVE the spelling of Isobel, but Kathleen is sort-of "eh" to me.

Elinor Susannah~I prefer the spelling Eleanore (yes, I know I'm the only one) and I wouldn't normally pair it with Susannah, but separately they're very pretty names.

Joannah Iris~Sorry, but I don't care for Joannah at all. Iris is not really my style either.

Boys:
Cyrus Jude~Cyrus is a great name. Don't care for Jude.

Mathieu Thatcher (go by thatcher.)~Thatcher is awesome. I love the spelling of Mathieu but it's still just "Matthew" to me, as far as sound and appeal goes. Also, I believe strongly in naming your child what you're going to call them. Otherwise, it's like saying "The first name that we gave you wasn't good enough so we decided to call you by your second name."

Peter Liam~Not my style at all.

Jasper Thomas~Nice! Although it's still weird seeing the name Jasper as an ever-growing popular boy's name because it's the town in Tennessee that my dad grew up in.

Henry Sebastien (go by sebastien.)~I like both names but much prefer Henry. Also prefer the spelling Sebastian.

Overall, a great list. Thanks for sharing! :)

I really hate that spelling of Matthew.
But I really love the name Sebastian/Sebastien. So I guess that makes up for it.

Joannah Iris: i love the name iris

Cyrus Jude: love it!
Mathieu Thatcher (go by thatcher.): love this
Peter Liam: i love it
Jasper Thomas: i had a dog named jasper, so i'm not partial to this

Overall, I like the style of these a lot.

Willa Austen - very literary. I'm not particularly fond of the sound of either name though. Will is so masculine to me, and I don't find that -a on the end to really help that. I like Austen as a mn a lot, but not so much in this combo.

Mathilda Kathryn - Dislike both names and both spellings. Matilda is just too old fashioned to me. And the Y spelling of Katherine annoys me.

Isobel Kathleen - Eh. I'm pretty done on the Isabelle/a phenomenon. Isobel isn't different enough to make it any better for me.

Elinor Susannah - Nice. This is my preferred spelling of Eleanor too.

Joannah Iris - Love Iris. Joannah is a bit dowdy in image to me, but it's ok.

Cyrus Jude - Nice

Mathieu Thatcher - Mathieu seems like it would be a big PITA. Thatcher has a harsh scratchy sound that I dislike.

Peter Liam - Nice

Jasper Thomas - Love Jasper. Thomas is ok.

Henry Sebastien - Love Henry. Sebastian is too fancy for me, but it's ok.

Thatcher makes me immediately think of "Margaret Thatcher"

And I don't like your other names, except Sebastien :)

Willa Austen -- Not my taste, but I like the ideas behind it.
Mathilda Kathryn -- Very nice.
Isobel Kathleen - I like it.
Elinor Susannah -- Feels a little pretentious to me, though I don't dislike it.
Joannah Iris -- I would like it a lot if Joanna was spelled the normal way, but I think the h is going to throw everyone off. Love Iris, though

Boys:

Cyrus Jude - Dislike.
Mathieu Thatcher (go by thatcher.) - Thatcher's okay, but why the French spelling on Matthew?
Peter Liam - Nice, seems a little bland next to your other choices.
Jasper Thomas - Like a lot
Henry Sebastien (go by sebastien.)- I like this, Sebastian is on my list.

I like Mathilda, *love* Elinor (especially that spelling), and quite like Kathryn, though I think there is something nicer about Katherine/Catherine.

I like Jude, Jasper, Henry and Sebastien. Like a poster above, I find the name Cyrus a little menacing. I don't really understand Thatcher - it sounds like a surname originating from a trade, like Miller or Smith, rather than a forename. Mathieu could be difficult: if you want a Mat-yur, great, but if you want a Math-ew, I'd recommend spelling it the ordinary way. There was a Mathieu (Matthew) at my school and his name was almost always mispronounced.

(Admittedly, some of this is from UK/US p.o.v: if you're based elsewhere, you may have chosen particular spellings because they work in more than one language and that's great.)

Willa Austen- Austen is far too masculine
Mathilda Kathryn- okay but Mathilda is a little od fashioned for me
Isobel Kathleen- very nice.
Elinor Susannah- sounds lovely
Joannah Iris- hatte joannah and ever if i didnt i'd still say Iris (which i love)Joannah sounds better.

Boys:

Cyrus Jude- omgosh i looooove this combo!
Mathieu Thatcher (go by thatcher.) so why not call him Thatcher?
Peter Liam- like Liam hate Peter
Jasper Thomas- very nice
Henry Sebastien (go by sebastien.)- so why not call him Sebastien Henry? Henry Sebastien is awesome though. Is the french spelling there on purpose?
